NS has said she doesn't understand what Stay Alert means. That shows she's not stupid!
Re: CHATTERBOX
Every time I see the PM waffling on, I am reminded of the Dunning-Kruger syndrome. It's not an illness, it's identifying people who are too stupid to realise that they are stupid!!

Looking forward to hearing what our illustrious leader has to say tonight.
I have seen two pictures on Facebook said to have come from countries coming out of lockdown and I can't decide if they are real or a joke. The first showed the interior of a restaurant where transparent shower curtains were drawn round each table and the other showed an outdoor setting where each table was placed in a small freestanding greenhouse. My first reaction was just to laugh - the opportunities for infection outside the group and the question marks about full disinfection between customers makes me think it must be a joke (you'd get rather hot in a small greenhouse too!).
Philip Pullman's view of tonight's pearls from the great leader. https://www.facebook.com/18518065485518 ... =3&theater
The greenhouse story is true - it's something being tried in The Netherlands.

Really? They looked rather sweet but I'd be wary on both counts that I mentioned.

How can she stand? We don’t directly elect our prime minister?
Re: CHATTERBOX
i know that, but swapping parties, in the past, hasn't stood between a person and their politics to get to the top job.

BBC Breakfast, NS "My job is to be clear."
Did esteemed leader say, 'my job is to obfuscate.'?

The wee greanhouse pod thingies have been around for some time. I first saw them on the Embankment in London a couple of winters ago and last winter I noticed some on Riverside in the Oracle in Reading when I was down for a visit.

I think Nicola in particular would lose all credibility if she no longer represented a Scottish party, and her constituents probably would be too narked to vote for her
Anyway we are stuck with Alexander Boris de Peffel Johnson for the time being, and a 50 page guidance document to work through
Been out to the pharmacy for a few essentials, and took the long way round, which goes past Iceland which had no queue so I popped in. I really need to start emptying the freezer

Excellent pastry making Sakkarin! Before I had watched it all I was wondering how it is, that at that point prior to rolling when flour is dusted, that in demos the person never seems to get floury hands. At that point it is on my hands and all down my front. Rather an amusing thought in the circumstances.
Of course N.S. wouldn't just transfer to Westminster but I have always admired the clarity of her speeches, even more so now.

Re: CHATTERBOX
Although the island is closed and still in lock down there is usually a Repatriation flight from elsewhere in Europe, including Russia, most days. All those returning have to be quarantined, they are staying in one of several seaside hotels, they have to stay in their room, food is supplied as is cleaning and Wi Fi. One of the hotels is running an exercise class, the inmates go out on to their balconies, the trainer is down below on the terrace and conducts a daily class via a microphone.
I would like to see that.
