pinhead oatmeal in a vegetarian haggis (yeah - and‽‽‽) - containing :-
Vegetarian Haggis
50g sunflower margarine
50g oats
50g pinhead oatmeal
50g chopped mixed nuts
2 medium onions finely chopped
100g mushrooms finely chopped
1 carrot finely chopped
200g can red kidney beans drained and chopped
50g vegetable suet
1 tsp yeast extract
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp chopped fresh mixed herbs
1 pinch grated nutmeg
Juice of 1 lime
1 tsp whisky
Seasoning
Pre-heat oven to 190c/gas5
Melt ½ the margarine in a pan and add the oats, oatmeal and nuts.
Cook over a gentle heat, stirring, for about 3 mins until toasted and golden.
Transfer to a bowl.
Melt the rest of the margarine, add the onions, mushroom and carrot. Cook gently for 5 mins until softened.
Stir into the toasted oat mix with the remaining ingredients and season.
Grease a 2 pint pudding basin.
Transfer the mixture into the basin, cover with foil and cook for one hour.
Serve with mashed tatties and neeps (and plenty of whisky).
i have the feeling this was a recipe from the vegetarian society. if it's not then the other vegetarian haggis recipe i have was. quite similar and you can have that recipe too if you want.

Chopped mixed nuts and candied peel in various Christmas items.
Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
Trout almondine with French beans.
If it's candied peel as well, I'd say plus a dessert with candied lemon fruit slices (see link), halved, to top a lemony mousse or cheesecake.

That's reminded me of a Jamie Oliver fresh tuna dish we made from his Italian food, which uses CINNAMON and ROSEMARY http://legacy.culinate.com/content/3360/index.html (take your pick!)
We never had a large piece of tuna, just did a version with tuna steaks. It was delicious. We must do it again

Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
Banana or plantain peel thoran with shavings of FRESH COCONUT and coriander
Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
Fresh coconut is still a dream as I couldn't open the last one I bought despite handy tips on the internet, although I think fresh flakes can be bought.
I'd make this coconut and sesame seed etc basmati rice recipe, keeping a keen eye on the water which looks a touch scant:
