We've (re)found Michael Connelly's Lincoln Lawyer, now Series 2. I read and really enjoyed some Michael Connelly, including the Lincoln Lawyer, years ago and we watched Series 1 the last time we had access to Netflix.

Hmm, not sure about The Crown, although it has been highly recommended by other friends, too, PP ...

One thing I watched with T a while back that was very good and not at all fantastical, in the genre sense, was David Hare's Collateral. But you might have seen it way back on the BBC.

Rob and Rylans Grand Tour, not the most promising premise but enlightening. The art, music, architecture and culture is very interesting but in a way overshadowed by two characters we think we know showing a much deeper and more likeable sides to their personalities- I’ve just binged all three episodes.

I just watched the final episode (having watched the rest of them!) of A Gentleman in Moscow (on Paramount). I thought it was rather good. Ewan McGregor is excellent in it.

The book was terrific, we read it a few years ago in our BG, and we all loved it.
We saw the first two episodes at an invited screening when we were in LA and enjoyed it.
We're looking forward to seeing the rest when DS2 arrives here from LA tomorrow as he just took out a sub to Paramount.

I’ve just binge watched High Country on BBC iPlayer and really enjoyed it. Although it might not be to everyone’s taste as it started quite slow it got better with each episode. It’s a mystery thriller set in Australia’s Victoria High Country and worth watching for the scenery alone.

I've never seen that one, or even heard of it!! I really like Leah Purcell, but it hasn't been on Aussie TV - only on 'Binge', I think. And we can' get BBC iPlayer over here!! Feeling hard done by!!

NLB - just asked OH if he'd heard of High Country, but he hasn't either! But he asked if you knew of the series 'Troppo' from the ABC? It's based on the novel Crimson Lake by Candice Fox, in which a former police officer helps a private investigator look for a missing man in Far North Queensland. Interesting settings and also characters - quite dark, but we both enjoyed it and are following season 2 at the moment.
Not sure if you can get it in UK but I think it's on 'Prime' if you get that.

I’ve watched the first series on Amazon Prime and really enjoyed it. I’ve just looked and there’s only the trailer for series 2 available so that means it should be showing soon hopefully.

Shame you can’t get High Country and it’s odd it hasn’t been shown on TV in Australia yet. Leah Purcell was excellent as was Sara Wiseman who plays her wife.
