Sue, I imagine your French must be pretty good - would it be worth a try?
Personally, I have learnt a lot about neurodiversity, and the way the non-neurodiverse characters learn to interact with Astrid is really very touching.

Matlock gets going again today on Sky Witness. I’ve watched episode 9 this afternoon.

My French is decent, but too basic, too formal, and too dated follow most TV, I tried Spiral but it's like expecting a middle-class middle aged French person to follow Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, or even Only Fools and Horses without subtitles, no argot. I did OK with the French version of Maigret, but very short sentences - and dated slang.. I didn't get on with the French version of Call my Agent, didn't get the jokes or the machine gun delivery

I agree, Spiral was really hard (totally impossible for me  All I got was "putain")! But what a wonderful series. We absolutely loved it.

We couldn't follow Call my Agent either ...

Probably not my thing, though it sounds as if most screen time will be with the adults at least, I started on A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, but decided that the atmosphere of the 6th form common room was too far behind me, great cast though
