I should have another go at Wolf Hall, I just peeked and it was first broadcast in 2015 when I didn’t get into it - busy with work and my mum. I have seen th stage play.

Let's hope the Mirrors and Lights help us see what's going on! IIRC parts of the earlier series were very dimly lit!

Loving Wolf Hall. Superb in every way.

Has anyone watched Matlock on Sky Witness? Kathy Bates. Wonderful reviews. I’m half an hour in and absolutely hooked.

For those of a certain age there is some great nostalgia on Talking Pictures TV tonight - The Wheel Tappers and Shunters Social Club. It was one of my mum and dad’s favourite shows and I must confess to watching a few depending who was on, they did get some up and coming acts on that time. It’s episode 1 tonight and features Freddie Garrity and I imagine Bernard Manning as he was a regular.

Cheers

Countryfile tonight comes from Woodoaks farm, local to me, just inside the M25 at Maple Cross..

The Wildlife Rescue will have a stall at their Christmas event on 7/8 th December..
We are also having our volunteer Christmas drinks at the Brewery on site that was once the milking parlour 👍🍺

That was just his stage persona - in reality, he was an extremely devout and generous man.

Are you absolutely sure Gruney? My husband worked with him a couple of times and said he was vile.

That does not surprise me one jot. I think he was on DiD or a repeat recently, absolutely awful.

Greg Wallace has apologized about middle aged women comment. I am disinclined to be charitable. I imagine it reflects his stance.

I guess you can call it his Gerald Ratner moment.

Although probably only middle aged women will know what I mean ;)

That’s the Dunning-Kruger thing. Basically, people who are too stupid to realise how stupid they are.

Not watching it, but the catalogue of Moggy foibles is quite entertaining

Dalgleish, Channel 5. Very good indeed although I’m old enough to remember the Roy Marsden one and he will always be Dalgleish for me.

In the later books PD James altered Dalgleish's appearance to resemble Roy Marsden. In the early Morse books Lewis is Welsh, he came from the North East in the later books
