It was the pie I loved! I'm not even keen on ham but it looked such a work of art!

The market food looked stunning, particularly the Ethiopian one.

Caught up now. Yes, all the street food looked delicious. A trip to Borough market might be on my 'to-do' list. Not been for a good while.

I was interested in the crumble he made. The fruit were pears and plums which he simmered in port. Has anyone here done that? Where port or wine is cooked in savoury dishes, it loses the alcohol flavour and just keeps the depth. I'm assuming that would happen here. I would like to try it if I was sure it wouldn't taste like sherry trifle.

I thought it was Maltby St Market? But the phone did go when I was watching so Borough may well have been in there too.

Yes, it was. Thanks for that. I didn't think he said Borough but couldn't hear what he did say and he looked as though he was close to that area. I want to go to both now!

Of course, pears in red wine were quite a thing at one time - I'd forgotten. Might have a go at a similar crumble.

Oh I love Maltby St market. We always go when we visit London as it’s very close to the Bermondsey beer mile

It definitely looked worth a visit, the oyster stall was to die for. Do you go to Ian McKellan’s pub when you’re there Smitch?

Just watched the last one, Leigh-on-Sea and Southend. I've never been to either but would rather like to. Some scrumptious food. Those beignets! lick lips

I’ve saved that one for the weekend as I’m not doing anything except finishing my chicken.
