Left over chip shop chips ...

We have a lot of left over chips and I'm wondering what ideas you have for them?

I think the only thing I've done with them in the past is make a tortilla/Spanish omelette type dish, which is delicious, but are there any other interesting uses for them out there??

I've only had them as next morning hangover food (and it's been a while!). I quite liked them reheated in the microwave - perhaps with grated cheese melted on top if feeling really decadent - I think they'd work with any 'loaded chip' type thing or just reheated and eaten with an egg.

We chuck ours out on the lawn. The hedgehogs scoff them up overnight when they're around and any left in the morning are usually eaten by the crows and jackdaws.

Being inland we don't get that many gulls (or not in the garden anyhow). The corvids fulfil the same role.

If you have an Air fryer you can heat and crisp chips up in that - better than getting soggy in the MW!!

They tend to hang out in the local fields around here rather than visit the gardens. They're mainly flocks of common gulls, especially in autumn/winter. It's interesting actually- common gulls were more or less completely absent when we lived in Reading, but we had lots of black-headed gulls, which are much less frequent around here. I do love the way the local patch is so different. Currently, our wintering pink-footed geese are returning in hoards. They spend the night over on the Solway coast and then fly inland to feed. It makes me very excited as we never saw them where we lived before. Conversely, I miss the red kites (they've not yet established themselves in Cumbria...)

MM, it's the lamb burgers that are in the deal, which we had with the reheated chips that we did in the oven rather than the MW.

The lamb burgers are really good, and there are some nice fishy options as part of the multibuy too.
