Yesterday: Cote Blackheath. I had a mushroom cassoulet then a delicious Paris Brest. ("choux pastry filled with a pistachio praline Chantilly and a sour cherry compote, served with a warm chocolate sauce")
Today: Ottolenghi Spitalfields. I had an aubergine thing, a sweet potato thing and a chilli and broccoli thing. Can't be more specific! Then a raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake tart.

We ate at a local ‘proper’ fish restaurant. I had a lovely thick hake steak with tiny sweet caramelised pickled onions. Very nice.

We treated ourselves to lunch today as we had two funerals last week, which was a bit grim.
We went to our local Sam's, which is the Riverside one (rocky, I think, usually goes to the Waterside one in Brentford).

We had the lunch menu. https://www.samsriverside.co.uk/set-menu

We had the haddock croquettes and the tenderloin pork. Both were delicious. We didn't do the 'with wine' menu, and 2 courses is about £25, not sure exactly.
In retrospect we should probably have gone for the with wine, and just taken it home with us. We didn't want to drink at lunchtime.
Next time!
I forgot to take a pic of the starter, this was the main.

A week last Friday I went for a meal with my bestie before going to theatre to Yinjibar which is a Chinese restaurant in Hull City Centre. It's one of my favourite restaurants.

Tonight J and I skipped choir (we went last night instead) and went to Akash, an Indian restaurant in Beverley. It was so nice, I had chicken desi handi. lick lips
