I cooked some chick peas to make a curry but had some tricky admin, finished late, no longer felt like cooking
So have banked the chickpeas, had a Waitrose venison burger with lots of veg, cranberry sauce and a spot of pan gravy made with the dregs of a jar of caramelised onion relish

May get more burgers, bought because half price but v meaty and v nice

Sounds good Gruney.

Does anyone else use Easy Peasy? We had a belly pork curry tonight. It was much nicer than expected, but I think I may have been too generous with the chilli flakes. Yoghurt was needed  :D . My OH doesn’t eat ‘fat’ (at all!), but even he said it was lovely!

Last night was a M&S salmon recipe, simple, healthy, and delicious.

I made Toad in the Hole last night because I had leftover uncooked chipolatas in the fridge. My 'toads' have been a bit hit and miss over the past few years, I'm not sure why.
However, last night's was a billowing triumph - I wish I'd had guests!

Toad in the hole sounds fab EM.

Last night we shared a sirloin steak cut into strips, in tacos with lettuce and a fresh salsa.

Tonight is sea bass with minted peas and cubed paprika potatoes.

Tonight J is cooking and it's cod loin with a parsley, lemon zest and breadcrumb crust, probably served with baby potatoes and salad.

Yes, we went there when I worked in Reading. We've been back a few times. This time I just went to the shop as I understood that the restaurant was closed on Mondays. We ate next door at the Rising Sun. It was very nice. Quite busy and at the more expensive end of gastropubs. The Steak & Ale pie I had, was a steak pie with accompanied by a modest glass of ale!!

Pies are still nice. I bought four. OH likes game, so she got a venison pie. They didn't have any venison and boar pies.

probably leek and potato soup - to use up the leftover mash from last night - unless it's a leek based bubble and squeak.

I second this!

We had bacon, avocado and tomato baguette for lunch (the house still smells of bacon…). Dinner is meatballs from the freezer that I made ages ago cooked in a tomato chipotle sauce with fresh pasta (and I’m having some roasted cauli with it)

Its Friday, so we are having a few beers in our lovely little local whilst potatoes bake in the oven

Thu: Pasta with Spinach
Wed: Pasta with Napolitan Sauce
Tue: Potato and peas curry, dal & rice
Mon: Lasagne & garlic bread

So we've been Pasta heavy this week instead of curry heavy.
Will have to do a quick recce on what veg is left in the fridge to see what's next to cook.

Salmon and prawn laksa.
Probably not entirely authentic but it’s a dish we enjoy.
