Brandy butter

My leftover M&S brandy butter says it can’t be frozen. Any idea why I can’t freeze it? It would just be for me.

I suspect it’s because things with a high alcohol content don’t freeze and the alcohol separates out … but I’d risk it … you can always re-incorporate the liquid after thawing if it’s separated.

Thank you, I’ve frozen it in small portions. I’ll try to remember to let you know how it defrosts. We have lots of Christmas leftovers so it my not be any time soon.
