I really doubt that they would be producing the same cheese to two different standards of hygiene etc in the same factory. Far too much risk of cross-contamination etc.

You could always ask them if you’re concerned.

So if it is up to EU standards why make a different batch of labels? I'm certainly no expert in this area but was told by one that EU sub-standard stuff could be dumped on us.

Because it will be subject to Duty in countries outside the EU. It has to be identified somehow.
