Glad that you enjoyed Laona, it looks as if they have had a refurbishment since I was last there.

Thought about that but avocado hasn't been agreeing with me lately.
So we shared beef carpaccio (predictive said beef carpark) then I had sea bream and J had squid ink linguini.

Both fab.

Possibly my best pork chop ever at https://durham.hotelindigo.com/marco-pierre-white/ , with extra pots dauphinois and red cabbage. Delicious.

Congratulations! Hope the lovely food did “amplify the feeling” as promised on the menu.

Amber I’ve enjoyed the food at the only MPW steakhouse I’ve frequented (Meriden), best prawn cocktail on record.

this is the menu from the restaurant 'terra' and then the amuse bouche, starter (half eaten - tom yum soup) and main - i forgot to take the 'pud' (i had the brûlée but should have chosen the brownie as the avocado ice cream was divine)

the tasting menu was at a restaurant called 'audax'. i can't see the vegetarian option on the couple of sites i looked at but it was an option.

at canteen - a 'de bara' ciabatta roll filled with roast squash, red cabbage, brussel sprouts, stuffing, cranberry sauce and other stuff. i could only eat half of mine - the rest came home. it was really good. we could have had a side portion of roast potatoes but didn't - that would have been a real piggyness too far.
their 'christmas dinner roll' is on for all of december. if we go for another i'll take a tiffin box...
