If anyone’s looking for a good, easygoing programme to watch then I definitely recommend The Chelsea Detective, it starts on Wednesday 11 September at 8.00pm on the U&Drama Channel. I have already watched it on the Acorn streaming app and really enjoyed the series.
Cheers

I've still got some watching to do, but I did try the Turkish Detective (still on iPlayer), I watched the first episode and enjoyed revisiting Istanbul, but just too much subtitling for me
Re: Non food related TV
We just watched the BBC4 Anatomy of a Crime, Sambre, https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m ... c_team=BBC
which was really very good indeed. An interesting approach in that it looked at the experience of each of the actors involved in six separate episodes. I won't say any more because I don't want to inadvertently write spoilers, but we would recommend it.
We watched the first two episodes when they were on BBC4 and then watched the next four over a couple of evenings as they've all been released on iPlayer.

If you have Amazon Prime then do watch “A Very Royal Scandal”. The acting is absolutely fabulous. Michael Sheen, Alex Jennings, Joanna Scanlon and Ruth Wilson. So good.

Another Acorn TV drama/comedy is starting on the Drama channel on Sunday at 8.00pm. It’s called Recipes for Love and Murder. It’s another series I really enjoyed.

ludwig, bbc1 wednesday 9pm or all on player if you want to binge.
anything with david mitchel is worth watching, i think, especially as there are quite a few excellent supporting actors dotted in there, too.
the first episode (and half of the next) was good.

I enjoyed it, not heavy going, thought Anna Maxwell Martin was an excellent foil for this variant of Morose Mitchell. Nearly choked when Ralph Ineson's voice cut in, in a flashback (for me) to The Jetty. Keeping my eye on young Simon who clearly wants to be Watson to his Sherlock (or something)
