Sounds tasty Suffs lick lips

As we have been out today and need to relax and chill this evening. I have a couple of packs of instant noodles with us. I also have hot dog sausage pieces from brekkie, some HG cherry toms which I will chop. Some sweet paprika and as we don't need a lot will do for a bite later on. I also have a banana and a nectarine and some instant custard so that's pud sorted. Thankfully we have a kettle in our room so it will come in handy later. A few sachets of mayo and tom. sauce. I do so love a challenge !

Friday's dinner was cod baked in foil with diced spring onion, red pepper and tomatoes served with tender stem broccoli and a baked potato.
Yesterday we had baked chicken goujons coated in crushed tortilla chips, home made oven chips, corn cobette and jazzed up baked beans.
Leftover chicken goujons with salad in a wrap planned for lunch. Tonight it's a pigs in blankets roast dinner using the last of the batches I made last Christmas.

I got a whole pork fillet, trimmed off the ends and froze as stir fry strips. Marinated and roasted the central cylinder with fennel and onion, ate with tenderstem broccoli and new pots and gravy made with the marinade, I’m learning to barely salt the marinade or the gravy can be a bit too intense

Crackers with cheese and homegrown tomatoes for lunch. Baked chicken curry (Rive Cottage recipe) with rice and naan for dinner. I'm looking forward to the curry as I used to make it fairly often but can't actually remember when I last did. It think it might have been when my sis and nephew were staying her in early 2020!

Both pork and the curry sound lovely. We have eaten extremely well over the past week but a reasonable amount of heavy food. Yesterday’s lunch for example for a turkey schnitzel with ‘prazen’ potatoes which are described in English as roast, but more like mashed potato made out of very tiny cubes and cooked with onion. Delicious! We only nibbled in the evening.

We have brought a jar of Thai curry paste with us as we always like to have a ‘palate cleanser’ of something spicy in the middle of the trip and then get back to mountain food. So tonight will be that with loads of veg

We also had pork tenderloin, but this recipe served the two of us. Going on past experience, we only used half the amount of soy sauce. Served with new pots and roasted carrots and parsnips. (Note to self….pomegranate molasses don’t work as a drizzle onto roast veg :( )

Your holiday food sounds lovely Rocky.
Fridge bits for lunch. My sis is coming for dinner tonight. I slow cooked a small gammon joint yesterday. We'll have it with pineapple, salad and potatoes.

A using up stuff dinner of pasta, pretend bacon, peas, garlic, smoked paprika, thyme chipotle flakes and... clotted cream. With parmesan. Rather tasty.

ah we had that last night :)

We had wonderful pasta stuffed with pear and parmesan with pine nuts in San Gimignano about 20 years ago. So nice we went back to the restaurant twice to have it. This was reminiscent of it (as far as I can remember from so long ago. I can't actually believe it's that long ago. I was will in my 30s...)

Sunday I made chicken pasanda and saag aloo and there was enough for Monday too. Very good. Then Tuesday we had Scotch eggs from Goodies Farm Shop with their potato salad and coleslaw … all made in their restaurant kitchens.

Then yesterday we had half a small chicken marinated with lemon and chilli (from the butcher in the farm shop) with jacket potatoes and broccoli in a lemon and garlic butter dressing.

Your dinner was similar to ours last night ltc. I made a tomato sauce with mushrooms, olives etc in and and towards the end added strips of pork we had bought in Germany and had it with pasta - delicious.

Tonight we will go back to mountain food - cevapccici and various codiments including the delicious Ajvar (a red pepper paste)

I made some egg mayo yesterday so fancy that on some toast for lunch.

Supper tonight was salad with an individual quiche each bought from here https://www.moorfarmshop.uk/ … we’ve called in before on our way home from MIL’s and always been very impressed with their produce, especially their butchery and the pies and quiches etc.
I had a Quiche Lorraine and OH had a salmon quiche. The fillings are deep and creamy with really generous amounts of salmon, cheese, bacon etc.
if you’re ever in the area give them a look. Very good café too.

Friday evening was chicken thigh fillets wrapped in bacon with various veg and homemade oven chips.
Last night I baked a pork shoulder steak in foil with lots of veg. There's leftover veg which I'm going to have for lunch with eggs. Tonight it's spiced chicken flatbreads with salad and minty yoghurt.
