Re: Too good to go bags

I know of several people on a different FB site who rely on these type of bags. They do not qualify for food banks but have to feed teenagers on a limited budget. One was particlully pleased with some Greggs Sausage rolls.

Re: Aldi/Lidl specials - recommendations

Back from Lidl, it is "Emily in Paris" week, aka French Week. I stocked up on cheeses and snagged the last bag of shelled edamame beans. The remaining French produce was macaroons.
I notice that next week they have a lot of their DeLuxe range, this means Christmas is coming :)

I am hoping that in the second "mystery" segment that they ask them to make standard items such as a Victoria Sponge or Quiche Lorraine without a recipe.

Re: Where have you eaten out today?

Yesterday we had lunch at Erimi's Kitchen, George cooks good old fashioned Fish & Chips, proper double cooked, hand cut chips and a light batter on the fish. You know which patrons are Cypriot, they are the ones eating salad with their lunch.

The Food Board has shrunk

Help please, the Food Board has shrunk to about a third of its size. No other sites on my lap top are affected. Have I accidently pressed a wrong key?

Thanks, Moira

Re: Foodies In The News

But then again Heinz Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce, the type the British used to serve on toast, bears little resemblance to Italian Pasta with Tomato Sauce.
The Carbonara version is on sale in Cyprus

Re: Aldi/Lidl specials - recommendations

It's Asiatic Cuisine week at Cyprus Lidl, starting next Thursday very few of the items shown in the UK leaflet are available, mostly frozen samosas and s[ring rolls, however they should be stocking their Crispy Duck, we have that in pancakes.

Just for once we have visited an establishment which has an online prescience. The first couple of pages are taken up with a sushi menu, the latest Cypriot craze. Both the salmon and prawns are imported https://chrisbluebeach.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/MAIN-MENU.pdf I had the Salmon Poke Bowl, D...

For reasons recorded on the Wild about thread I have a quantity of cooked, tough cold lamb.
Any suggestions as to what to do with it gladly received

I have never seen Cypriot ricotta, I suspect that it was a similar cheese called Anari, I used to use it as a ricotta substitute.
