Re: Non food related TV

And will catch up with 'Get Millie Black' and ' Virdee' I only watched the first episode of Get Millie Black. It looked as if it was quite good, but I couldn't understand what many of the characters were saying. Virdee is quite gory - it might be too much for you, Patsy. :o Thanks for the heads up ...

I'm enjoying that too. Anyone else seen the new production of Bergerac ? Can't help seeing the ghost of John Nettles while watching it,but more gritty than the original. Bergerac's rich in-law Charlie is played by Zoe Wanamaker. Unlike Herbi I really enjoy most detective series if theyre not too gor...

Re: BT/EE

I find the cooler condition the tulips are kept in the longer they last. My porch is always cold, even in the summer and they last for about 3 weeks in there.

I much prefer celeriac.. it makes a lovely soup blended with coconut milk.

I have never liked the (cooked) stringy texture of celery

The dough doesn't need the 10 minute knead that bread dough does. You just bring the ingredients all together until they are smooth.

Re: Foodies In The News

I keep seeing these bread recipes that require 3 sessions of kneading at 10 minute intervals, Nigella has one, aand my question is what do you do for 10 minutes with oily hands in the middle of baking a loaf? To me it sounds more labour intensive, not less - or has someone tried it and been delight...

I knew it would be a stew/casserole of some kind as that's usually what I cook most of and then need to freeze the spare. When this defrosted, it looked like a pale chocolate mousse, but it wa...
