Re: What are you baking this week?
I got a pack of 6 small sweet all butter pastry shells in M & S this morning to use up the left over lemon custard as there isn't enough for another large sized one.

Re: Left over chip shop chips ...
MM, it's the lamb burgers that are in the deal, which we had with the reheated chips that we did in the oven rather than the MW.
The lamb burgers are really good, and there are some nice fishy options as part of the multibuy too.

Re: Left over chip shop chips ...
That's what I do..👍 No air fryer! But last night we crisped/warmed them in the oven and had them with our lamb burgers (the Waitrose ones are excellent and included in the 3 for £12 multibuy). Yes, I agree about not warming them in the MW. Scully, love the idea of an aloo saag - I can't remember wh...

Re: What are you baking this week?
It was terrific. I've got some of the filling left over so plan to get a pack of 4 small tart shells and see how many it will fill - I think, probably, 2. Trying to sieve icing sugar over it was a lot harder; mine was very uneven, and on bought ones it is always so even! I don't know what the trick ...

Left over chip shop chips ...
We have a lot of left over chips and I'm wondering what ideas you have for them?
I think the only thing I've done with them in the past is make a tortilla/Spanish omelette type dish, which is delicious, but are there any other interesting uses for them out there??
Thanks

I picked up a jar of (for Lidl, £5 +) expensive Albichore tuna in olive oil as part of their Spanish promo. Now I don't know what to do with it ... has anyone else bought it there? And if so, please share your ideas! Thx! I also got a couple of cartons of those lovely olive oil pastries lick lips li...

Nigella's traybake chicken thighs with peas, leeks and dill. Very successful, as usual. It's a regular in the KC household :D DS2, who loves peas, was extremely appreciative and full of praise :D Followed by the other half of my panettone pudding (with a last year's panettone that has been lurking a...

IMG_0406.jpeg Ive made a quiche for supper using this recipe. https://www.jamesmartinchef.co.uk/recipes/best-ever-quiche/ but I used 5 whole eggs rather than 3 eggs and 3 yolks, 250 ml single cream rather than the double cream and milk, cooked smoked streaky bacon rashers instead of ham, and topped...

Interesting to see your link to Downshiftology, EM, my NY friend has bought me her book and it will be making its way to me via one of DS1's friends on their next trip to London!
