Re: What are you eating today?
Mary Berry’s mango pork medallions, but baked not fried. And the tenderloin, butterflied not cut into medallions. The same, but different. I think I prefer the baked version. With crushed potatoes and salad. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-6700041/Mary-Berrys-Quick-Cooking-Marinated-man...

I don’t think there are any round here to use, but I like the idea of recipe ingredient weighing. Clever. And obvious to everyone…..except me .

Re: Where have you eaten out today?
As part of our 70th birthday month ( ), we had a lovely meal at The Ivy. Excellent staff, service, and food. My only criticism was the food could have been slightly hotter. But we’d happily go back any time.

Re: What are you baking this week?
This will be my 50th year of baking Christmas cakes.
It’s often hard to buy royal icing sugar, so this week I bought six packs while it was in stock in asda. I need to check if that’s enough.

Re: What are you eating today?
We also had pork tenderloin, but this recipe served the two of us. Going on past experience, we only used half the amount of soy sauce. Served with new pots and roasted carrots and parsnips. (Note to self….pomegranate molasses don’t work as a drizzle onto roast veg :( ) https://www.dailymail.co.uk/h...

Re: What are you eating today?
We used the recipe ‘numbered’ amount of cauli and mint, ie 400g cauli, and as far as I remember, 15g mint. Very tasty.
Recipe calls for a heaped tsp each of turmeric and curry powder.
A friend uses a flapjack recipe that calls for a heaped tblsp syrup??? How on earth…?

Re: What are you eating today?
We had Jamie’s Bombay Chicken, with the addition of a red pepper, and the shredded spinach stirred through the cooked rice. Delicious, and easy to pre prepare. My kind of meal. https://www.nationalworld.com/culture/celebrity/heston-blumenthal-tv-chef-sectioned-in-hospital-after-hallucinating-gun-on-...

Delias chicken basque/basque chicken. It’s years since we last had it, but it’s still delicious. Esp as M&S sell a packet of chopped chorizo, just the right size for two, and Tesco sell a similar packet of sun-dried tomatoes. (So no wondering what to do with the rest of the packet. Something I h...
