Yes, we like them too, just because they’re a bit different. I don’t remember seeing them recently though. I have a vague feeling the last ones I saw were purple??

Sainsburys frozen cranberries were massively reduced this week (62p?), best before 2026.

Re: What are you eating today?

Sounds good Gruney. Does anyone else use Easy Peasy? We had a belly pork curry tonight. It was much nicer than expected, but I think I may have been too generous with the chilli flakes. Yoghurt was needed  :D . My OH doesn’t eat ‘fat’ (at all!), but even he said it was lovely! https://www.eas...

We have a similar meal, but with added lentils. So easy, and healthy.

Red pepper and mixed tomato omelette with oven chips nd baked beans. Simple, and tasty. And it avoided us having to walk to the shops on the (still very) icy pavements.

Yes, we had those recently for the first time….very impressed. Nice and soft. We tried both plain, and coriander. They didn’t make it as far as the freezer!

Brandy butter

My leftover M&S brandy butter says it can’t be frozen. Any idea why I can’t freeze it? It would just be for me.

Re: What are you eating today?

We love the salmon too. One of those little pots of pesto is just enough for two, and we always have Parmesan, and breadcrumbs in the freezer. Usually with new pots and salad, or (packet  ) rice and tenderstem. An easy, but tasty meal.

Re: What are you eating today?

I’m sure there’s a better way of describing it, but to help keep a finger plaster on, cut into it from the short end to the lint, and then criss cross the two half strips to stick.

Just a starter of wild mushrooms on sourdough, with garlic and creme fraiche, here https://www.inncollectiongroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Dean-Court-York-Food-Autumn-2024-Web.pdf. Lighter than I expected (I’m not a big sourdough fan), but very tasty. And earlier in the week, beef short ribs a...

Re: Foodies In The News

When we had a new building, for our company only, we had a decent canteen though not as good as the one in Berlin of course. The best was GSK (Glaxo) at Perivale, they had an "director's" dining room no longer reserved for senior management, you could book a table for a special team event...
