Re: Aldi/Lidl specials - recommendations
It did taste quite nice though (imo). Reminded me of Bird's Appeal. (A powder. Doubtless full of sugar and not much juice either. Had a slightly sherberty thing going on.) My sour cherry juice (which is what I craved) from Istanbul cost £1.69. Minimum fruit: 20% The only fruit is cherry. Lidl is act...

Re: What are you eating today?
I am having chipotle-y and herby puy lentils (leftovers from Monday) with barrel aged feta for lunch. Very tasty. I want to make a potato and leek cheese gratin/bake but not sure if I will managed it today. Will see...

Re: Aldi/Lidl specials - recommendations
It doesn't excite me, but then there are lots of Turkish supermarkets round here that sell a lot of eastern and central European food all the time. They have cherry drink, I see. I was coincidentally wondering whether to take myself down the road to 'Istanbul' for some of that today. It will be more...

Re: BT/EE
Hmm it's not really £54.99 for 24 months then... but rather just for two(ish) months. Perhaps I should ring them. The asterisk does not cross refer to this.

Re: BT/EE
Also does anyone know what this means? Screenshot 2025-01-22 165730.jpg Is it £54.99 for 2 years or does it go up the the prices is quotes in a smaller font on those dates. Or are those the prices if you subscribe after those dates? I know I am being a bit thick... OR, they aren't explaining themsel...

Re: BT/EE
Hello, just wondering if anyone has moved broadband/internet from BT to EE and how that was. If you had a bt email address, were you able to keep it? I also believe that all the "legacy" telephone connections are being phased out by the end of the year, so if you know anything about this,...

Re: Fresh Pasta
I have not used mine for many years (I got out of the habit when I had nothing to clamp it onto for quite a while!) but I seem to remember making sure there are no air bubbles is a thing.

Re: Where have you eaten out today?
A pub in Peckham - the Angel Oak. Clearly the same chain as the Blackheath one the other week. I ordered the same thing as I did in Blackheath because it was so delicious. This version had 50% more food (too much really) but was not nearly as nice. It was also very cold. I think a lot of places stop...

A very flat Finnish rye roll with butter, then a yoghurt for lunch.
Am cooking some trofie for dinner which I will have with a simple but piquant tomato sauce, and cheese, of course.

Re: BT/EE
I am a tad confused by this BT/EE thing. I just opened my email page - I need to sign in - and it announced that BT is becoming EE. It then suggests both BT packages and EE ones. Fundamental logic suggests that if they are the same, having both types of packages is a bit odd. I suppose I need to rea...

Is that a first course or dessert, EM?
My Bajan friend once served me sweet potato gratin with pineapple... Definitely a first course side.
