I could just eat some of that cauliflower KC.
Out with friends for lunch and I had the crispy tofu with Asian vegetable salad with a really good dressing. I had a chocolate and Cointreau torte for dessert.
We went on a long walk after but didn’t fancy much this evening so we shared baked camembert with cornichons, a few crudités and some rosemary and garlic bread.

What a lovely meal KC2. I must try roasting cauliflower with spices.
I've made ratatouille a few times recently and use it in different ways. Tonight, I wanted a quick meal, so after heating it, I grated cheese over it and melted it using my Halogen oven.

Fab looking cauliflower KC2
Balmoral chicken (chicken thighs stuffed with haggis), peppercorn sauce, asparagus, broccoli, flat mushroom and baby potatoes for dinner tonight.
I'll get it prepped this afternoon so won't take long to cook this evening.

Madhur's beef baked in yoghurt and black pepper tonight, with her Gujarati green beans and probably some rice.
Re: What's everyone cooking this week? 2
Red bean stew and dumplings, its bubbling away gently at the moment and smells so good.

Sounds good everyone
Last night was a messy but really tasty plateful - Balmoral chicken (roasted chicken thigh stuffed with haggis), baby boiled potatoes, broccoli, carrots, asparagus, flat mushroom and peppercorn sauce. I did manage to overcook the broccoli though I quite like it mushy.

I made just under 6 pints of white sauce yesterday so seemed a shame not to use some! Instead of the planned baked spud with BNS chilli from the freezer I cooked a cheesy broccoli, green bean and macaroni pasta bakes. DS2 had two helpings and he's having the leftovers for lunch so it must have been okay.

Two amazing looking meals in a row ltc. My very late lunch will be my main meal today . Simple but so good . Butchers thickly sliced honey roast ham , surprisingly decent tomatoes , extra mature cheddar , balsamic pickled onions , coleslaw and a packet of Burts ready salted crisps on the side

That pasta bake looks one of my favourite things, ltc. Yummy.
Lunch sounds good too AmyW. You can have my ham and pickled onion.
I had rice cakes and peanut butter - doubt anyone envies me but I liked it!

Lovely looking bake there!
We’ve had some easy comfort food in the last few days… garlic mushrooms on thick sourdough with parsley, wine and cream. A soup of savoy cabbage, noodles and pork belly with ginger, soy, star anise, chilli. A roasted veg and pearl barley stew with blue cheese dumplings.
We made an apple, walnut and brown sugar cake/loaf type thing which has been delicious when out and about on walks over the last few days.

Gorgeous looking food LTC. I was wondering what Balmoral chicken was. Sounds
Our oven has been deemed terminal (thank god we move to the new house next week). And we found this out just as I’d ordered loads of sprouts (which I love to roast). So last night was sprout and lardon linguine with LOADS of sprouts. Lunch was rather a nice salad of hot smoked salmon, feta and avocado.
Not sure tonight. We might possibly go out…..

It's super easy to to make Rocky but feels like you've made a bit of an effort lol. If you're not a haggis fan Braemar chicken is the same using black pudding.
Nothing wrong with rice cakes and peanut butter EM they used to be one of my go to lunches when I was working with a splash of sweet chilli sauce on top.
Yes definitely getting to the comfort food time of year, DS2 will probably be away for a good chunk of November and looking forward to some more traditional stews while he's gone which he's less keen on.
I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken chasni DS2 cooked last night and we have planned leftover sauce to have with sausages tonight.

Had a small bag of spinach in my oddbox and the leaves from the beetroot were in good condition so made Horta last night, had it with Greek style oven chips - with oregano and feta, and artichokes and peas braised in olive oil and lemon juice. Delicious.
Re: What's everyone cooking this week? 2
I am struggling a bit with cooking at the moment. Work is so busy and there is so much to do before we move into the new house. And the oven is broken. Moan over - sorry!
We went out last night and I had steak and ale pie. OH had venison tagliatelle. Both very nice.
I am at home this morning but then in the office for meetings until about 7. I might try to make up a tasty sauce of some sort this morning that we can have later with pasta or a jacket spud. As soon as we move I will start batch cooking at weekends!
Lunch will be nice - rocket with hot smoked salmon, feta and avocado!
