You're welcome suffs.
Re: Meal planning - love or loathe?
LTC - thank you. You must have been a mind reader. I had randomly put lamb steaks into our order and had no idea what to do with them....
I mean to plan, but I don't very well

Oh dear, I'd better start planning! Not sure about the Sweet & Sour sausages but the recipe below it for Pasta fatteh with tahini sauce and pine nuts has been saved !

Re: Meal planning - love or loathe?
The sweet and sour sausages appealed EM as Jamie Oliver has recipe for sweet and sour pork using tinned peaches which I really enjoy. The pasta dish I wasn't so sure of but I'd be interested in your feedback if you make it please.
Re: Meal planning - love or loathe?
The sausages sound quite intriguing . I normally find them a bit boring in terms of what you can be doing with them , so will be interested to hear how you get on with them .
Was it Jack Monroe that used tinned peaches In a curry once ?

Yes Amy it was - a peach and chickpea which I've made a couple of times and is rather good though I usually add some ginger and tumeric. https://cookingonabootstrap.com/2019/11 ... MGHqTKc4hs

I sometimes cook a chicken and peach curry - got the recipe from a 1970s M&S recipe book.

Sounds good Pampy, my Mum used to make a chicken & banana one from a similar cookbook in the late 1970s served with raisins and desiccated coconut.

Can I come to your bbq please ltc? Bbq’d octopus is one of my favourites!
No plans here other than some Thai food as I have been craving it for a week or two. I need to get back into a routine of meal planning now term time routines have been reestablished.

Re: Meal planning - love or loathe?
LTC - you’ve inspired me to plan a bit more. I haven’t decided what I’ll have on any particular day but over the coming week I’m going to make -
Fish with canellini beans, chorizo and tomatoes
Greek chicken traybake
Salmon with noodles and veg
Pork lettuce wraps
Let’s see if I stick to it…..

Re: Meal planning - love or loathe?
Friday was a salmon and egg salad.
Tonight we’re doing quorn chicken fajitas at work with corn on the cob, salsa, guacamole and sour cream.
Sunday is minced beef hotpot followed by apple and blackberry crumble with homemade custard.
Monday I’m baking a quiche of some kind , thinking caramelised onion and cheese , with Actifry wedges and salad .
Tuesday undecided
Wednesday Cajun dirty rice
