Am I the only one who still thinks of Corona as a fizzy drink, often delivered to houses in a designated lorry? .

With especially lurid coloured fizzy pop? The neon green one springs to mind.

i have a few mementos of this plague - a large number of cops of thread, a dungbeetle 'janet and john' book and one of those empty beer bottles that i intend to chop the neck off and make into a glass.

I'm always fascinated by the traditions and superstitions of places not so far away that we might know nothing about unless we have been there. It certainly does look interesting.

Only in America. Just because the packet doesn´t say "enriched" and because it lacks 2.1 mg of iron. Puh-lease!!
Di Cecco is the very best brand of dried pasta, in my opinion

I gave up - too long to read without skimming
But it does really show up how ridiculous some of these things are

It was very long!
I suppose, in the journalist´s favour, he was trying to be a little humorous - but the writing was ponderous, so the humour got lost.

Bear in mind I read a lot more slowly than you’d expect, and it really irritates me if I feel the length is down to failure to plan the piece and be concise, to me some of the writing really felt like it hadn’t been reviewed and revised as you’d hope

Re: Foodies In The News
I'm sure we've all at some point been asked to write x number of words and either had to cut it down to the point where some meaning was lost or pad it out with too much filler . That there were exactly 4000 words suggests the latter .
