Me too on the Branston beans.

I’m okay with buying jars of pasta sauce and the one I preferred, which was actually called Ragu, doesn’t seem to be available now. I use them only to add to meat and by the time I’ve overloaded the meat sauce with garlic it doesn’t matter which one a use although I tend to stick with Dolmio as they’re available in virtually any supermarket.

Cheers

I popped into the local IKEA earlier and saw that they were selling jars of Mutti tomato and basil sauce, £1.95, I think, 400g.
If they still have them next time I'm there I'll get one and give it a try.

When I was shielding and getting the weekly box there was a very good pasta sauce that turned up sometimes. I've been trying to remember the name - it was Italiany - but so far haven't managed to. At the time it was available in Morrisons because we thought we might get some, it was so good, but doesn't appear to be there any longer. If I saw the name I'd remember.

For the first time ever, I saw Mutti tomato sauce in my local Tesco. The pot looked quite chunky, but I didn't make a note of the weight.

It's funny, isn't it, how you start noticing things that have probably been there all the time

I used to buy the Branston Beans with Chorizo, but they seem to have disappeared from Sainsbury.

The product is still appearing on their website:

That's another thing I have never seen before ... not that I would want to as Chorizo is one of those foods I dislike intensely :thumbsdown

It worked well with the beans Pat! The cubes of chorizo were quite small.

I like the sound of that . I’m not a massive baked bean fan , but when I rarely have them , I tend to jazz them up with chilli sauce , curry powder etc . Chorizo would go really nicely with them
