Where have you eaten out to today?
I thought for a change , it would be nice to have a thread about our eating out experiences , as the what are your eating today thread is mainly home cooking . Plus if people are in your neck if the woods , it’s nice to have recommendations. I had a really nice brunch at “Henry’s “ which is a very small cafe in a converted church . Avo on toast with bacon , tomatoes and poached eggs . Very common these days , but everything was very good quality and cooked really well

What a nice idea, Amy - but do let on where "Henry's" is
I'm afraid that we'll probably be observers atm rather than eager contributors ....

I have some serving bowls in that pattern. Inherited from one of OH’s innumerable aunties.

I don't think I will be eating out again for at least a week and a half. (Hopefully that is not overly optimistic.)
The last meal I had out was a Moving Mountains burger in Margate It was rather nice, actually... (And we were one of two tables occupied in the entire pub.)
Prior to that I had a really delicious cheesy leek tart with crushed new potatoes and homemade coleslaw at the Clerkenwell Kitchen (Clerkenwell Close, EC1.) A superior version of the sort of food my parents were very fond of. There were three of us and we all had the same: "So you're three tarts, ladies." Said with a quirked eyebrow and a smile (by the lovely female server).

I will report on various Cypriot establishments, mainly tavernas, just in case anyone is coming here on holiday

Great idea for a thread.
I had brunch out at local coffee shop today for the first time in over a year. https://www.bloomcoffeekitchen.co.uk/
I opted for Eggs Florentine with mushrooms and a toasted muffin and it was delicious.

The menu looks great as well!
Re: Where have you eaten out to today?
Bistrot Pierre - Royal William Yard Plymouth, just around the corner from an apartment Daughter and I were staying for three nights.
Starter.
Delicate scallops, but not worth £9.25
Mains.
Fishcake nicoise, over camaralised fish cake with little taste of supposed salmon, veg and sauce was good.
Dessert.
Lemom tart, chantilly cream with raspberry stuff, or a dab of raspberry jam and make some shapes. However, the tart was spot on.

It looked good in front of me, the poached egg was perfect, as was the sauce, but the casing of the fish stodge was hard to cut through!

Looks delicious, Dennis!
Forgot to take photo but friend and I had brunch at our favourite canal side cafe this morning. I invariably end up having quiche and salad (which comes with crisps) but today, as it was brunch and not lunch I had a 'small' Bargees Breakfast. Very nice too.

We were hungry again by early evening so bought fish and chips from a stall at the jazz festival we attended. A nice food day for someone usually following a low carb diet .

we lunched at 'sabzi deli and takeaway' in truro, today.
middle eastern - a takeaway box with a mix of different salads and a nice (ceramic) mug of cappuccino each. it may not have been the cheapest lunch but definitely good.
they don't have an up and running website yet but there are quite a few instagram pics if you google.
i ate before i thought of a photo...
