Re: Goodwill and Custard !!!
The interesting fact, to me anyway , I uncovered today (research for a family Christmas Quiz rather than anything untoward with the out of school club accounts ) was that the phrase "Cooking the books" is from an old usage (16th Century?) of "to cook" meaning to falsify or change how something is presented.

Autumn gathers in the harvest

Did You Know that in 2020, following an incident on a bus, Transport for Greater Manchester stated that live snakes are not acceptable Covid face coverings!
Darn! I'll have to use a cloth mask instead!!

Even less acceptable if you have been following Doctor Who
Though I did spend 2 episodes wondering what was scary about a Grand Servant, the McGyver effect that helps distinguish V, P, and B let me down

Re: Goodwill and Custard !!!
I feel quite certain that a parliament of owls would do better at governing the UK than the one we currently have!

Condiments of the Seasoning!
it's Day 10!
Now, just in case we don't get access to the Advent Calendar over the weekend, we are going to be naughty again and open 3 doors!
So ............
WHAT'S BEHIND THE DOOR TODAY??
For Day 10
Did you know that every year approximately 1000 people in the UK are injured by their Christmas tree??
Life's not fir sometimes!
For Day 11
Did You Know that male Hooded Seals attract mates by inflating the lining of one nostril and forcing the air out of the other?
Whatever turns you on, I suppose!
And finally, for Day 12
Did you Know that tsetse flies, spiders and sharks all make milk?
Shark milk? Sounds fishy to me!

WHAT'S BEHIND THE DOOR TODAY?
Did You Know that it's impossible for even the largest whale to swallow a human?
One man who claimed he has survived being swallowed by a whale later admitted he'd made the story up as part of a lying contest!

So ...........
WHAT'S BEHIND THE DOOR TODAY????
Let's see *does a little dance, then opens door*
Ooh this is interesting.
Did You Know that you can get squirrel-proof bird food? It's coated in chili. Squirrels can't stand the heat, but birds can't taste it, so they can feed in peace.
Not such a bird-brained idea, is it? (tho some birds are quite clever)
