Ooooh yes, to the skin on rice pudding!
I don't cook sausages in the oven, but I will do that in the future after seeing all your messages I might use the bottom shelf of my halogen oven!

[my bold]
'Tis what I did when cooking sausages as I was never sure cooked through in a pan or under the grill. No added oil or anything, just spaced out on crumpled tin foil on a deepish silicon plate <-both to catch drippings, turning them as and when but avoiding overcooking.
Omit the foil needless to say if adding onion slivers alongside in the residue or sticky-fying with sauce where the residue in the silicon plate is desired. (I could use the metal plate my halogen came with, but being wider it's harder to control with the tongs.)

I’m an oven cooker too when it comes to sausages … bonus if I sometimes wrap a rasher of bacon round each one for a pigs in blanket thing

We like to cook sausages in the oven too.
Certain ones, such as Cumberlands, taste better when roasted in the oven or turned into a casserole.

Spring ventures forth to plant the grain
And Summer dries the straw.
Autumn gathers in the harvest
And Winter shuts the door.

Re: Does Anyone Else Love....
How about pickled onion vinegar on chips?
Re: Does Anyone Else Love....
i would have thought that was a given - unless there's mayonnaise on offer.
i have to admit to drinking the vinegar from pickled gherkins - neat.

Me too Scully.
I once drank the vinegar from a jar of pickled eggs for a dare to raise money for Red Nose Day.
Ma didn’t approve of drinking vinegar … for religious reasons … she was from a Methodist family but educated by nuns … she had some very confused theology

I used to be addicted to drinking neat ( malt) vinegar when I was very young - if I was missing at any time I could be found in the pantry necking down vinegar straight out of the bottle - a sign of things to come......!

Hence the expression " Jim was a bit pickled last night..."
