Yes a decent filleting knife is a must, like you mine came from a tackle shop and was under a tenner.

I noticed in Waitrose this morning that they had packs of individual halibut fillets in their freezer section. The price ws £9 but I couldn't count how many were in there.

Is there intelligent life in Waitrose head office?

Impossible to tell from the website how many fillets are in the pack, but as the weight is ~330g I’d guess 2

I think most frozen fish, unless otherwise stated, is sold by weight and I agree it is sometimes difficult to ascertain how many pieces there are in a pack. Annoying when meal planning.

The pack size is 280g and under the nutrition label, it states that there are 2 portions in the pack - although that doesn't necessarily mean that there are 2 separate portions.
