skillet needs to be seasoned first. One hour in conventional oven. Can't be doing with that today, so it's plain pizza for us.

Having a g&t first, relaxing after prepping the toppings (using some bottled artichokes today) and enjoying the sunshine.

We fired up the Koda today for its 'seasoning' (heat, cool etc). Hubby managed to singe the hairs on his arm  .

It has been nicknamed by hubby The Pizza Hut as he says it looks like a little hut.

Looking forward to getting the couple of pizzas from the freezer cooked for lunch sometime this week to get a bit of a feel for it and then some home made ones :bounce: :bounce: .

I've managed to find somewhere to buy pizza flour and tins of San Marzano tomatoes within a reasonable distance, none of our local shops or supermarkets sell them.

our daughter bought a wood/gas ooni for our son in law for his birthday - i now have gadget envy.
the (wood fired) pizzas (pizze) he made were amazing.
the ooni phone app for dough calculation, he says, is really useful, too (probably even if you have no ooni!)
he used homepride 00 flour and said it was just as good as specific pizza flour.

how did your aldi one work out, s-g?

Our Ooni had it's first outing of the year today, pretty good pizzas despite being a bit out of practice.
