mashed potato as a covering (plus cheese on top of that) for -
equal amounts of chopped white cabbage and onions fried in a little oil until browning,
add some curry powder, soy sauce, vinegar, salt and black pepper to taste and bung in the oven to bubble the cheese.

Crushed fennel seeds added to a sausage and green lentil stew

toasted & lightly crushed fennel seeds added to raw mince - especially pork mince for meatballs etc. really adds a good flavour layer.

Yes it does, Yottam has a lovely recipe for pork mince meatballs and green lentils using them https://www.theguardian.com/food/2018/s ... clams-tart

Hmmmmm - looks like no-one here uses pandan essence, soooo.......pandan essence in coconut ice cream.
