We haven't been eating anything particularly interesting. I had a lovely salad yesterday for lunch of hot smoked salmon, avocado and feta. I was home late and roasted some sprouts with pancetta. Actually delicious. Tonight is finally the lamb steaks..... ltc thanks for the recipe. Looks lovely. I'm going to have to revisit the meal planning thread and start planning

All sounding good as usual everyone. :yum I really like the sound of that stuffed squash Sue. :)
Completely agree that the bags of frozen cauliflower cheese are disappointing - sounds like such a good idea for small households but didn't do it for me. Before DS2 moved back I would sometimes by the chilled ready made stuff for a quick main meal and found those okay.
Smoked haddock, bacon and corn chowder with garlic bread for dinner tonight.

We are finally about to have the lamb steaks. I had a meeting miles from the office and decided to come home.I’ve marinated them in rosemary, garlic and olive oil. Have roasted peppers, onions and courgettes and done some wedges. Nothing fancy but smelling nice!

I'll bet it does Rocky a winning combination of aromas! :D I'd say the recipe I linked is definitely one for when you have plenty of time.
I'm in mid chowder making so there's lovely wafts of smoked haddock & bacon, though I'll no doubt not enjoy the fish if it lingers overnight! DS2 won't be home until 9ish so a late, even for us, one tonight. I'll wait until he arrives before finishing it off and popping some garlic bread in the air fryer to bake.

Sounds good WW and the all better for being made for you.
Last's nights chowder was gorgeous - a proper Autumn bowlful.

That looks really good ltc. Might have to try something similar.

OH is out tonight and I fancy cauliflower cheese. So that's what I'll have!

Love a chowder!

Last night we had red onion tarte tatin with a salad of watercress, gorgonzola, walnuts and a honey dressing.

Tonight we are having pork bibimbap to use up a load of bits and pieces.

Plans for the rest of the week are a hot and sour Thai chicken soup and rumbledethumps with sausages and mustard.

Since the weather has turned a bit chilly and squash are appearing in my veg box I made a soup today. Spiced squash and red lentil. We both enjoyed it, plus there is enough for my OH tomorrow when I’m out volunteering.

No idea about tea tonight, I think we’ll see what we fancy eating later.

I love the sound of the tart OMCO. :yum
Yes definitely turning to soup weather smitch.

Jamie Oliver's Bejewelled bbq pork for us tonight with rice & beans - it's one of my favourite quick meals as prep and cooking included it takes under 30 minutes.

Leftover saag paneer from the other night, with a tin of chickpeas added.
Plus Madhur's Gujarati green beans and a couple of chapatis.

Last night DS2 got his usual chippy, I didn't fancy one nor did I want my usual breaded fish as we are having scampi tonight. I ended up making something I've not had for ages a stuffed baked potato with mustard, cheese and spring onion mixed with the mash. I had it with spinach and peas and it was blooming lovely. :yum

Tonight's baby chopped meal. Veg tagine. The odd thing in the centre is dried lime.
Actually looking forward to it

Had friends round tonight so it was mussels followed by cheese and crackers.
Absolutely not a dinner party, just pals around a table.

Tagine looks great SG!

OH and I had a bit of miscommunication on Friday. I went to Sainsburys and had realised he said he was going to the fruit and veg stall. So we ended up with four cauliflowers  He was out last night so I had cauliflower cheese again. I just had it with some lardons and a bit of broccoli. It was rather delicious. Tonight we are having cioppino made from Leith’s fish bible.

I'm not sure you can ever have too much cauliflower cheese Rocky :D
Sounds like a lovely evening WW.
Love the look of the tagine SG.
Our scampi with homemade wedges, peas & green beans went down well last night.
Roasted chicken legs for dinner tonight with roasties, stuffing, veg and gravy. I might make some Yorkshire puds.

Thank you Rocky! I was just longing for macaroni cheese (almost my favourite food in the world but not compatible with a low carb diet). I'd forgotten cauliflower cheese - in my wholefood cafe days we often did vegetables in cheese sauce containing a few beans and topped with a crumb topping. That's what it'll be - with a nut, cheese and crumb topping and possibly a little bit of bacon (something I rarely have). Can't wait!

Sounds good EM.
I had planned to make a butternut squash & sage risotto for dinner tonight but fancy a veggie chilli so have ditched plan A and will use the BNS for that instead.
It's soup weather here - cream of broccoli I think.

I've got a BNS to use up too. I'm going to stuff it with the remains of last night's veg & cheese. I just had it with some leftover wholegrain rice in the end rather then nut/crumb topping. I bought some Quorn bacon. I haven't tried anything Quorn for ages as I used to dislike the flavourings. I still do. I suspect a horrendous amount of salt too. Not looking forward much to the rest of the pack - it looks like fried Spam too :(. I also bought some rtc smoked haddock chowder, the sort in a little china dish. Very expensive usually, I'm wondering if it would be greedy to have some for lunch as well as the BNS later.
