How does the menu compare with the old menu you had all talked so affectionately about?
And have they upped the prices more than you'd expect in line with price rises everywhere atm?

I too wondered how the menu compared. I think it's got many of the originals without a price hike but have a niggling feeling that specialities are missing and that possibly the chef has been asked to keep a tight reign on expenditure. I've been twice but I'm not sure. Those who've been more often will know. I haven't got it in front of me any more but have a feeling the menu used to be in French and is now in English.

No EM.it was in both, you could ask for either. Haven’t looked at it properly yet. Am into a good audiobook so my time is divided.

It doesn’t bloom that different to me, but I wasn’t terribly familiar with the old menu

Beans, a new book by Susan Young.

Sue was my PGCE course teacher. She is an acclaimed early years musicologist. I wonder why she's changed from music to beans.

Perhaps it was a lockdown project PepperP ... there hasn't been a lot of call for folk in the music and entertainment business for the past two years or so, as my son found to his cost ...

Possibly Suffs. She may have retired as she was a bit older than me. I seem to remember she wasn't very good at technology and I think she moved to a Chair at Exeter.

Thanks Sue. She looks taller! She's absolutely tiny! The video is interesting too.

Think I know whose end of the seesaw is going to be heaviest when we get on our chosen team ;)

Much though I dislike Gordon’s TV persona I’ve met him a couple of times and he was absolutely charming. Jay writes well and I can remember him as a little boy, Jason, who used to go for 11+ coaching to the lady next door.

I’ll sit on the fence I think. They’re playing a game.
