He came across more as a "food for fuel/health" person. I was definitely with Julie too! DS1's friend is a fitness coach but also a keen cook/foodie. There's plenty of room for both IMHO. I have to say the thought of eating chicken and broccoli cooked on a Sunday the following Friday sounds ghastly.

I don't think it is just Sunday and Friday, it is the whole week.

i didn't vote - i didn't think it was an either or situation, it was a compromise situation.

Easter baking - I hadn't heard of this before. I'm hoping I've added a non-Facebook link.

Ooh, yes, Richoux, always think of it as just a purveyor of fancy pastries but obviously no longer

A good alternative if Brasserie Zedel goes downhill now!

I feel a Wildies meet coming on . . .
Re: Foodies In The News
I rather get the feeling that Richoux and other brasserie-style places in that price bracket in central London will getting lots of good reviews if they’re up to it … Zedels former customers will have lots of choice …

I suppose we should give the new people a chance with Zedel. So far we've only heard about unhappy staff and non pristine loos .
That said, a Wildie inspection elsewhere seems a good thing.

I’m not so sure about legacy but will watch reviews carefully. I took people who wouldn’t normally dine in town there. We’ll probably go back to White Brasserie.
Anyway, who’s up for a meet?

That looks lovely. I liked the sound of everything he mentioned. I’d be up for a meet!
Re: Foodies In The News
We are coming down 1-3rd July to see Adele (if she turns up) but that seems a long time in the future, I’m sure you will meet before then. But I’d be up for lunch then if anyone fancies it?
The concert is on the Friday night, not sure what we will do on the Saturday- maybe Kew on the Sunday as we have never been.

Re: Foodies In The News
My diary is quite full between now and mid June. A July meet when BB is down would be lovely (though I do hope to go to the Stonehenge exhibition before it closes, I don't think fitting that and a long lunch into one day is practical!). Perhaps finer details could be arranged in the Members area.
