I’m surprised how many of those Oxford Circus eateries were there in my West End days 40 years ago
I was an I Camisa girl, or Randall & Aubin which in those days was not a fish restaurant but a butcher with a deli counter in the annexe

I used to eat at what is now MW Buffet, a well reviewed all you can eat Chinese buffet at 58 Shaftesbury Avenue with a beautifully plain frontage, like French railway brasserie, first place I had the now ubiquitous soup noodles with the ladies from the sweat shops on Lisle Street. It was table service then of course.

Think they are a bit mean to Scandi Kitchen, forget meatballs, have the selection of open sandwiches :yum:

It is but I’m still trying to work out what technical leggings are!

They have pockets anyway!

I like the use of the yogurt pot for measuring.

If there’s one garment I don’t require pockets on, it’s leggings, it’s the potential for for lumpiness :o

I assumed that technical leggings were those things with oddly placed strips of different fabrics and mesh to support or cool your muscles?

I've had a similar recipe in my little red recipe book since the 1990s, I think I got it from another Mum at the playgroup we used to go to though it's without the chocolate chips. It's very good made using a lemon or mandarin yoghurt, my favourite though is with a hazelnut yoghurt and a handful of chopped nuts. I've always baked them in a 2lb loaf tin then iced with little glace icing.

I've given up trying to keep brown sugar usable! Even decanting it into a screw top jar doesn't seem to top it from going hard.

Churros are the only doughnuts I like, but I won’t bother, best eaten from a paper cone bought from a stall I think
