Autumn is quite a bit ahead for us ( November ) however, with " Indian Summer " temperatures, nearly perfect at 25 degrees centigrade, and harvest season a bit early this year, we have quite a selection ..

The lower hills (sierras ) are abundant with Niscalos ( a burnt orange colored medium to large ) mushroom ..
Rovellos in Catalan .. In English: Saffron Milk Cap Mushrooms ..

Quite an Odd name !

The wineres are in the harvest season

Feathered game is coming back onto the scene ..

Fresh figs, Sapo de Piel ( the toad´s skin ) Green Melon, and Asturian apples ( not the false shiny ones ) are getting ready to be picked ..

On the vegetable scene, one can find White cap Mushrooms both wild and cultivated, lots of various garlic types ( lavender, black, white )
and the giant Boletus ( wild ) Mushrooms shall be coming soon ..

The fish season and shellfish season are also coming onto the scene .. Wild Navarran Trout is reappearing up north .. ( Navarra ) ..
