Next time you go to St Albans, swing round to the other side of town and try Buongiorno Italia.

the lidl (cheapest) plum and chopped tomatoes seem to have a thick 'sauce' - not watery at all.

Sadly, not the Bargain Basement, but the opposite ... we get an Asda Swiss style no added sugar muesli. It was £1.95 for 1.2kg for ages, then £2.00 for a while.

I noticed yesterday that it has now gone up to £2.53!!!!

I'm glad I got a packet while it was still £2.00. I would have got more at the time as I could see the prices were going to continue going up, but unfortunately we are really short of storage space.

In a similar vein I noticed that whilst they haven’t gone up in price the pack size of Dorset Cereals has decreased somewhat.

You really have to look at pack sizes now

I’m pretty sure some basic olive oils that were 1 litre are now 750 ml, that’s a massive reduction
