Fancy toast. I like the idea of Laughing Cow in a recipe. It’s one of my guilty secrets!

The Dover looks like my kind of place. If I can find it.

Not sure if this news about the Star Inn at Harome has reached down south, but good to know he always had the support of his boss.

I find this subject interesting on so many counts. Might be worth starting a thread (did we have one once?).

That place sounds quite fun . I like creative fun twists on dishes . Sometimes they crash and burn , but it’s always fun to try

Blimey.
I suspect it's a no go for vegetarians, but I can't tell because either they forgot to finish their website or they are too full of themselves to bother putting a menu on it.

It looks as though the menu changes depending on what produce they have. I agree you'd be taking pot luck.

Like a lot of small start up places he seems to post pics of the menu on the Instagram account, quicker and less technical skill than doing the website. The menu for “Fevrier” is indeed quite French, and has a single vegetarian main (vanilla braised frisée with smoked almonds and blue cheese). All looks good but I’m slightly surprised in that location, lots and lots of vegetarians round there (handy for the Hackney Empire)

I think this link should work

I had a look but was working so didn't have time to scrutinize it - just saw photos of the food.

Wow, we drive past this place fairly frequently- didn’t realise it was so fabulous, it’s fairly unassuming from the road. We will definitely give it a go at some point. Loved the bit about Yorkshire portions plus it being the law that if there is a garden centre it has to have a tearoom serving Yorkshire tea. Quite right too. And Yorkshire folk would take the gold medal in chuntering.

The usually reliable Fiona Beckett recommends this new French Bouchon in the Fulham Road, particularly the Pats du Jour - handy for KeenCook! But generally easy to get to

If anyone is going I'd be up for it, sounds just my thing
