What is this as it sounds good please? Is it spreadable? Does "your" mean scullion?

Relish prompted me to look up Gentleman's Relish, which I gather is anchovy, herbs etc to a secret recipe, savioured on toast points, or these days, fancy crackers.

Smoked mackerel paté in vol au vents, which were easier when ready-to-bake cases were a supermarket item, with a scoop of green pepper and tomato salsa, or Thomasina Miers' pineapple relish:

I used to make a quiche for the ex (he called it a flan ...someone had bought him a copy of 'Real Men don't eat Quiche') ... he liked it and I didn't so I made it for his lunch box and I wasn't tempted to snaffle any ... the filling contained tinned tuna and TINNED SWEETCORN

Tinned sweetcorn in these "bombs" (crispy fritters) with lots of spices; skip the boiling bit if tinned. Made with rice flour:

For info, rice flour by Dove's Farm is in e.g. Waitrose and Sainsburys.
