Just catching up on this.
I have heard of John Barnes but none of the others.
Doesn't seem to be a car crash so far, but I wouldn't serve a sauce with coleslaw.

That Telegraph article's behind a paywall so can't read it, but if that's Phil Daniels in the pic, he's famous as a Popstar, as an Eastender and I seem to remember him appearing as a character actor in everything that was going in the 70s, although the character was always a cheeky chappie cockney.

John Barnes played for Watford before he was famous, his initial signing fee was a full set of Watford football kit.

I couldn't read the article either. I believe that Sam Quek is (or was) an England and Great Britain hockey player.

Sorry about the paywall, I had not realised it was there.

I have heard of 5 people on that list, but I don't read gossip mags or trashy newspapers and I don't watch reality TV.

I have heard of Greg Rutherford though ;)

When Center Parcs first opened, way back when my kids were small, we went for a weekend and John Barnes and his family were in a villa nearby. He was absolutely lovely to my kids. Great ambassador when not all footballers were getting a good press!

I've heard of 10 of them.

John Barnes always comes across as a really nice chap. Despite his football celebrity, he's always seemed very grounded.

It’s not just that he does it - he works at the same speed as everyone else, that’s what I find so astonishing

Yes, and seems to rely quite heavily on his sense of smell

Isn't he incredible! I love watching how skilled he is, how he touches around the pans to establish exactly where they are, and feels liquid levels. He can chop veg faster than most sighted people! Absolutely amazing & it's unusual to see a celebrity who clearly does actually cook.

I rarely watch the celebrity one, as like others, I have no idea who any of them are! I generally only watch the professonal one, but am glad I did this time.

We haven't been watching Celeb MC but see that tonight two of the contenstants will be cooking at Sam's Riverside, which is a 5 min walk from us. We haven't eaten there yet but walk past it whenever we go along the river to Hammersmith. It's next door to the new Riverside Studios.
So we're defiinitely watching it tonight!!

Judy Murray was robbed. The other woman was dreadful! (This is the only one of the series I’ve seen). :D Good job Judy doesn’t mind sending herself up. Anyone seen her in the third Murray brother sketches?
