Sticky chipolata sausages in my lentil hob casserole.
I usually grill the chipolatas, brown onions & garlic, add stock, a dollop of redcurrant jelly, dijon mustard, red wine, red peppers (sometimes chargrilled ones in a jar) & then a drained can of puy lentils.

puy lentils (or big green lentils) cooked with green split peas, with a vinegar heavy dressing and mixed herbs in salad i haven't made for years and thought i'd invented when i worked at a veg restaurant but found a very similar thing in a cookbook i bought recently.
