Lamb (ideally neck fillet) marinated with garlic, evoo, lemon and lots of oregano made into kebabs, cooked over charcoal, and slid off the skewers into pita bread :yum

How about Provençal picnic sandwich (Pan bagnat) for a picnic. That gives a wide choice of next items over to you

we used to have a similar thing at school known as the munchburger. you got half a baguette and filled it with whatever you wanted from great bowls of salad and stuff, which included baked beans.

I had crisp bacon last night with cauliflower cheese, so cheese sauce as I have a lot in the freezer

I cooked the bacon in the oven while I was browning the cauliflower cheese, I'd almost forgotten what a good way of doing it that is
