Emails to Waitrose HQ and Sainsbury's CEO, got me no-where either.

Tried telephone on local store's web site. No joy.

Tried Sainsbury's HO and success and a very helpful person sorted things out for me. Home delivery this morning, :klingonbanana :limbobanana :birthday-dancer

In they course of that conversation, after asking her to repeat herself a few times, I explained my deafness as I couldn't hear her clearly enough. She added that to my details we can't help wondering whether that made a difference.

The boss of a haulage company gets a phone call from one of his drivers.
“Hey boss, my side-view mirror is broken!”
The boss says, “Well then. Just buy a new one and replace it.”
The truck driver answers, “I can’t. The truck is lying on it.”

I got 6, a bit of guesswork based on dates. Knowing exactly who Mr Custance was helped.

One for Suffs I think

Funnily enough, I've just done that quiz before looking in here! I didn't get 10/10. I hadn't seen the first painting before. Even when I was young there were always Dutch ships in port. How lovely it must have been to have them come in and just set up a market near the quayside.

We still get Dutch markets here. But from vans, not ships (the Wupper isn't shipable). They are fabric markets and I really enjoy them.

Please could those of you who metaphorically or in reality light candles as you do on WF please look out for my younger daughter. She has had a really bad flare up of ulcerative colitis and is in Watford General Hospital. Her immune system is weak and we are hoping she responds to treatment quickly. She’s been ill since Sunday and nothing is improving thus far. We are worried sick but know she’s being looked after.

Earthmaiden wrote:I have seen two pictures on Facebook said to have come from countries coming out of lockdown and I can't decide if they are real or a joke. The first showed the interior of a restaurant where transparent shower curtains were drawn round each table and the other showed an outdoor setting where each table was placed in a small freestanding greenhouse. My first reaction was just to laugh - the opportunities for infection outside the group and the question marks about full disinfection between customers makes me think it must be a joke (you'd get rather hot in a small greenhouse too!).

Sorry to hear that Pepper Pig, I hope the hospital can sort things out

It’s a truly horrible disease, and apart from better use of immunosuppressants there’s little progress since I was briefly on a UC project in the 1980s :(

Sorry to hear that Pepper.

On the restaurant social distancing measures link, the ones that have the plexiglass divider could come with a little set of curtains so if you're date is boring you, you can close the curtains, like in a limo/cab...

EDIT: ...and with the magic of Photoshop...
