Re: Joan has peace
Thanks Gill. My condolences to the family. She had a good life and I'll miss reading her 'postcards' from the village in France.
Will her husband continue to live in France, do you know?

I don't know, Rainbow. They really do and did love their rural French life, and missed nothing about the UK when I met them.
Would anyone like Adam's email address? I've just asked him if it's OK for people to message him directly.
PM me if you would like his details.
Re: Joan has peace
Yes please Gill. They were such wonderful hosts, and so proud to show us all round their beautiful home.

I've sent you his email via pm, Amber.
Re: Joan has peace
That was lovely! Thank you
I shall think of her every time I make marmalade. I'll have another try at getting a gold in the marmalade festival next year in her memory.

Re: Joan has peace
Such sad news. A lovely lady with bottomless knowledge.
Rest in peace and all my love to her family.

Re: Joan has peace
I saw this sad news on Wildies FB page and was shocked. Not having been on the Wildies site for a while, I didn't realise she'd been ill.
But she was one of the first peope whose posts I read for their wonderful and vivid tales of French life. She was a talented cook and writer and will be sadly missed.
