Suffs, that's wonderful thank you.
I'm sure you're right, as I thought the flowers looked orchid-like. Even tho I lived in Kew & the gardens were my second home, I never can identify flowers.

My PlantNet App identified it as Pulsatilla and that was my initial thought too. However, I do have a small doubt about this. Are the leaves quite feathery ?

All I can see, Patsy, is what is on the image, no bigger.
She sent something on facebook to me. The leaves look like a cross between dill, and samphire to me.

Looks a bit like felicitas bird's eyes, but need a slightly bigger picture to tell.

I'm not sure this image gives us more?

Did I see somewhere here that you can split basil and plant it up?
I have a supermarket basil that's doing rather well in the kitchen sun. And some empty pots outside. I thought about tweezing it out, for 3 x pots of basil for the fine weather eating that is upon us.

Re: gardening resources and tips, etc.
Supermarket herb pots often split well, as they seem to get those short dense “plants” by a actually sowing quite a few seeds or putting in several cuttings and letting them all grow
I have split quite a few varieties, though I think with Basil I’ve just put it into a bigger pot and pinched out the tips to encourage the plants to get bushier and fill up the space
I got a pot of mint 3 years ago that had such good flavour I potted it up and I have repeatedly divided it, I have two big pots, one of which needs splitting again. I have given some away too

Thanks Sue.
That's given me my answer re basil. I shall plant it in a bigger pot, rather than splitting it out just yet.

i split it up and plant it, in smaller bunches, in one of the raised beds. it keeps on going for the rest of the year!

I was browsing through an online plant supplier an hour ago and chanced upon a plant that looked identical to the photo you posted. They listed it as Polemonium Bambino Blue. I have checked on Google too and an identical plant has the same photo.

Every answer seems correct to me.
The reason my sister doesn't know what the flower is:
Scullion
I once planted a basil direct in a flower bed, and it grew to the size of a bush.
I told neighbours to help themselves, as I couldn't keep up.

I planted a wristband from a Hugh Jackman concert last year. It said it was green and would grow but no idea what it is

I have about 20 (more?) basil seedlings to be pricked out but urning out of little pots. They are just at teh second set of leaves stage but a bit close together. I will be more careful next time but very small seed.

Re: gardening resources and tips, etc.
Does anyone have any tips on how to properly clean out those tubular perspex bird feeders? I have two really mucky seed-full ones. Usually it's not a problem as they are empty and I justy swish them out a bit but this year neither the goldfinches or the tits went to them. I have a new big wooden contraption and saw them on that but I now have two disgusting ones to deal with.

Can/dare you put them in the dishwasher?

I could but I seem to remember reading somewhere that you should never use any kind of chemical on them. Is that nonsense then?

Re: gardening resources and tips, etc.
I think you aren't meant to use any form of chemical disinfectant, as so many phenolics are toxic to various bits of of wildlife
The perspex will be fine in the dishwasher, but I'd worry about any metal or other plastic fittings either getting damaged or detached?
Have you tried just soaking them in hot soapy water (i.e. washing up liquid) for a bit?

Perhaps I’ll give that a go first Sue. Thanks.
