Re: actifry
Those do sound nice, Gill! I love sweet potato chips, but boil them first, before browning them on the top shelf of the halogen and adding Italian herbs and little pieces of onion to give them more flavour. I use Spray-lite to keep them low-cal.

Re: actifry
yes, those spray oils are good aren't they. I've got an olive oil one.
It looks as though the actifry doesn't need things parboiled. If I'm lucky?
I shall let you know.

Re: actifry
well I thought I'd do something more interesting than steamed veg.
And gave it the "airfry roast veg" treatment. Spray of oil, and 10mins heat through.
I thought they tasted lovely and nutty.
But there are only certain veg you can do this with I think. The asparagus shrunk, as did the green beans. Still tasty, but spindlier.
The carrots batons were lovely - I didn't use anything other than spray oil, s & p. Herbs would be nice.
This machine is intense.
What would take 30mins in the oven, takes 8 in the airfryer.

Those baked potatoes look great, Gill! I'm becoming slightly tempted! Well, perhaps a bit more than slightly tempted. I have a halogen oven, which I use for grilling, because I can see what's happening, rather than the one at the top of my oven.

Ta.
For 2 gadgets I wasn't too sure about, this one and the spiralizer, I'm really chuffed I got them both.
I used albert bartlett potatoes, and they were so buttery inside naturally.

I advise on this topic to read reviews on the site, I liked it, it's convenient https://bestairfryer.reviews/philips-air-fryer/
