Were they hitchhiking, or just lost?

Hahaha, WW - couldn´t resist!
My dad was an inveterate joke-cracker. Must be the genes ( Lee Cooper or Levi´s)
Turbot is absolutely delicious - for some reason I remember eating it in a trendy restaurant in Chelsea (1979??).
Karlos Arguiñano has a delicious recipe: Turbot, Mediterranean style (which I copy from his book, "1069 Recipes (1999):
4 turbot
1 onion
1/2 glass white wine
salt
Pinch of saffron
olive oil
1/4 litre tomato sauce
1 tomato
Caper sauce:
50 gms butter
Zest of 1 lemon
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp capers

Season the turbot with salt and fry for 4-5 minutes each side with a splash of olive oil. Remove and leave to one side.
Slice the onion in julienne and chop the tomato. Sweat in the oil, then add the tomato sauce, saffron and white wine. Season (if necessary) and cook for a few minutes.
Melt the butter, add the zest, the capers and the minced garlic until they´re mixed.Pour the tomato sauce on top of the fish and finish with the caper sauce.

Just picked this up as I finished clearing up after dinner.
Sounds lovely but it's not what we did.

All detailed on the turbot thread.

Am I right in thinking you enjoy the occasional fish or bit of seafood?

Yes - I took a liking to fish once I came to Venezuela, although curiously, we almost never cook fish at home. I´ve got no idea why.
When we go to the beach, it´s fish all day long. My bro came over here in 2013 and we went to Margarita Is. We never ate anything else than fish!
