A cheesey pastry flan case to make an onion, Cheddar and WHOLEGRAIN MUSTARD flan/tart/quiche.
Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
Wholegrain mustard in a dressing with fresh orange and lime juice, s&p, evoo and a couple of drops of ROASTED SESAME OIL.
Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
roasted (toasted?) sesame oil and lemon juice for a dressing on a salad of (small) grated fresh turmeric, (large) grated carrot, sliced spring onion and shredded iceberg lettuce.
Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
Fresh turmeric is a toughy (never seen, never used). I gather that if eaten fresh it's better raw or one might as well use powdered if cooked. Also to add black pepper which contains puperine (who knew that? me neither) which helps absorb fresh turmeric's antioxidants.
I'll go with blending it into a smoothie with fresh ginger which is a significant ingredient in this carrot/ginger smoothie (about 20% down the page): https://minimalistbaker.com/carrot-ging ... -smoothie/
I like simple carrot/orange/ginger smoothie but never tried one with turmeric, so will give it a go.
