Thank you for that list. I am indeed on Atorvastatin. I am now going to check the leaflet. Lol

Re: Chatterbox
Not that far away but the earth didn’t move for me.
Re: Chatterbox
I'm in the north west Moira, so it wasn't near to where I live. They have two earthquakes each year apparently.
Re: Chatterbox
It was in Tezza's stomping ground (the area where I was born) ... I wonder how she is ... hope she's ok.

I've been wondering about Tezza too, Suffs.

Re: Chatterbox
I occasionally check Tezza’s Facebook but she hadn’t posted
Re: Chatterbox
Me too. I know Tezza does have a tendency to disappear periodically but it has been a long time. I hope she's not ill again (I did rather think things were heading that way).
Food, felines and fells (in no particular order)
Re: Chatterbox
I've also been wondering about Binky.
I've just checked and it was July 26th when she last posted.

Re: Chatterbox
I’m sure she’s posted on the Mustardland Bull page today about the new Private Eye cover.
Re: Chatterbox
Hello folks. I am just about clinging on here; it's a gradual decline but very evident. I can get from the bed to the bathroom, and then to the lounge but this leaves me breathless and uncomfortable. Getting showered and dressed is a major activity. After that, my day consists of reading, looking on the internet, watching TV and trying to do a few brain puzzles.
I hardly ever cook - my contribution is reserved for veg peeling, sitting at the table, and reading recipes out loud for OH to cook. I think we're having veggie toad-in-the-hole tonight, so I will make the yorkshire pudding batter (easy peasy with a Bamix). My other contribution is to make sure we have a regular order from Betty's for our favourite cakes, and a monthly order to Cote At Home for quality ready-meals.It gives OH a rest two nights per week as we tuck into bouef bourguignonne or lamb parmentier (had their swordfish last weekend and it was lovely).

Re: Chatterbox
Hi Binky. Lovely to hear from you and especially as it can't be easy to find energy or time for everything. Mind you, as we're due for two days of sunshine, making the most of it and doing nothing sounds rather enticing.
Glad you're able to engage in food prep and of course are enjoying eating it. The Cote meals look good and a fairly wide choice too.
If you like trivia quizzes, this Daily Mail "True" might appeal. You click true or false within 10 secs and get the answer right or it stops and you start a new game. It has a food category incidentally:

Have your hospital sessions finished for now?
Take care.

Re: Chatterbox
that game is really annoying! it sometimes tells you you're wrong and stops the game when you actually hit the right button - i knew i shouldn't trust the daily mail!
Re: Chatterbox
Aww, it's really cheering to read nice messages. The nurses call me "one of their little strong 'ens" due to past history and treatments.
I am in the middle of this particular chemo regime - two others have been started and abandoned for various reasons (not good but won't go into it here). All I can do is hope for the best and remain positive. The only thing bugging me now is Yorkshire Puddings - whatever I do they always come out like biscuits. I use self-raising flour, a teaspoon of baking powder, equal parts of milk to flour, two eggs, Bamix them to death, and put them in a hot oven. Still not the fluffy puds I used to make. What's going on?

Re: Chatterbox
Binky, sorry to hear treatment is being drawn out; hopefully they'll fix your sessions before we're all in lockdown again.
Yorks puds are usually made with plain four and no raising agent, also milk, egg and pinch of salt. (I sometimes add a bit of finely chopped onion.) If too much egg is added, which is what helps the rise, they can rise too much and then collapse quickly and taste eggy so I normally use only one egg. (Personal choice.)

Re: Chatterbox
this is the recipe I used
https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/bes ... e-puddings
but I didn't have four eggs - only two - so thought self-raising flour would help instead.
