Mcegg burger ingredients

Postby mark111757 » Wed Apr 20, 2022 7:00 pm

Hey gang

Quick question....mcdonalds India has and an item called mcegg. A sandwich using a steamed egg instead of beef or pork or chicken. It uses a spice blend. I have found one with a minor slat and black.pepper and jeers powder and kasuri methi and red chili powder. The sammich sounds good to me.

My question is how close is this to the mcdonalds version. I have not seen a site that does copy cat recipes for foreign fast food places. Does such a site exist?

If any of you guys can offer assistance that would be very helpful. Thank you.

Do a key word search for mcegg on you tube

There seem to be quite a few YouTubes claiming to copy the recipe (some with no spices!). Sadly, the one thing that's hard to find is the ingredients list for the Macdonalds masala. Garam Masala can vary so much it's hard to say without trying it and impossible to know how good the copies are but guess you'd be pretty near with most of the usual culprits.

It’s going to be pretty impossible for any of us to know how close a recipe is to something , if we’ve never tried it . If uou try the recipe and it tastes good then surely it doesn’t matter if it’s not like the original , especially if you don’t know what it’s supposed to taste like .
