Interestingly I used flour from that bag to make a Toad in the Hole yesterday ... it was stupendous ... really light and fluffy with crisp edges. Noticeably better than my usual ones (which are usually pretty good).
Do you think it may have more gluten than usual in plain flour and that would explain the doughy pastry but light batter pud. ?
